Summary:碩士 === 國防大學中正理工學院 === 兵器系統工程研究所 === 92 === Weapon system readiness indices are critical for the measurement of weapon system effectiveness. A correct evaluation starts from an appropriate selection of those index parameters. The indices are not supposed to be represented by single parameter; it should also cover every system features and be able to reflect system operational functions such as reliability, maintainability; availability and combat ability. Readiness indices are not only for weapon system operation status; it is also a prediction of the combat readiness. In addition to provide the equipment operating condition, it should also be able to provide information for the planning of deployment and logistic sustainment. In recent years, logisticians are facing the difficulties o f maintaining all the high tech weapon systems with limited budgets. An appropriate selection of readiness parameters to reflect the correct cost of operation and Sustainment (O&S) will be a necessary part of life cycle management. In this paper, we are hoping to buildup the connection between system effectiveness and logistic support by using ADC (Availability, Dependability, Capability) method, and the framework can be used for equipment maintenance and combat readiness deployment.
