Due to its non-intuitiveness for human to use, the traditional human-computer interface like keyboard and mouse should be phased out in the future by the multi-modal interface which can be achieved by measurement of body movement, for example. This research explores a mechanism of intuitive manipulation of equipment or device and also develops an interactive multi-modal system that is capable of vision and hearing feedback. The design of interactive device requires intuitiveness to use, flexibility, efficient user interface and strong realization of sensor feedback, achieving the three goals of interactive system —“getting physical, getting real and getting real out”. Moreover, this research attempts to answer the challenge of interactive device installation as well as the problems of designing sensor system. This research emphasizes on the study of the human-computer interaction using multimodal devices that are capable of visual and audio feedback. A feasible application of this research can be developed in future. Chi-Wei Lee 李其瑋 2003 學位論文 ; thesis 110 zh-TW
