The TEM-mode transmission line theory and the quasi-static theory are applied in analysis of unperturbed electric fields irradiated from the NEMP simulator. Results of unperturbed electric fields are found homogeneously distributed inside the working volume of the NEMP simulator. From studies, it is found that the maximum current density induced on a perfectly grounded human body directly standing at a distance of 0~30 meters near the NEMP simulator is found to be 1600~120 times of threshold levels of neuromuscular stimulation which is under the steady-state current flow cases. The maximum current density induced on a perfectly grounded human body standing inside a perfectly grounded metallic house, with a distance of 0~30 m between the metallic house and the NEMP simulator, is found to be about 2 times of threshold levels of neuromuscular stimulation. It should be noted that data of induced current density on such transient phenomena of 10~100 ns have not been sufficiently developed in the technical literature to permit quantitative limits on energy transfers that are related to perception thresholds. From study results, it is also found that an averaged shielding effect of 90 ﹪ is obtained for the distance between the metallic house and the NEMP simulator when over 30 meters. Operators working near the NEMP simulator are suggested to wear clothes that are electrically conductive for better protection. Hsing-Yi Chen His-Tseng Chou 陳興義 周錫增 2003 學位論文 ; thesis 75 zh-TW
