Summary: | 碩士 === 元智大學 === 工業工程與管理學系 === 91 === Airline industry usually implements yield management to rise profit. In order to attain the maximal profit, airline companies should sophisticatedly allocate the seats under different fares. In this research, a dynamic probability approach and a decision support system based on case-based reasoning are proposed. These proposed approaches can accept or deny a request according to the current conditions of seat inventory including arrival rates of customers, decision periods, and the fare classes requested by customers. The performance of each approach used in this research, i.e. first-come first-served, dynamic probability approach, and decision support system based on case-based reasoning has been tested. The numerical result indicates that the decision support system based on case-based reasoning outperforms the other approaches.
