Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 資訊管理系碩士班 === 91 === In this era of global collaboration of business professionals, enterprises are situated in a highly competitive, rapidly changing, and chaotic environment. In order to survive and to be able to handle changeable business demands, a highly flexible and responsive operational system will be required. Many industries in Taiwan, for example, have started investing and building factories in China or other regions due to the deteriorating environment for production on its own land. They hope to gain better competition in the world by doing so. The company that the author works for, which shares the same perspective, is planning to build a plant in China and finish within a year or so.
The actual execution of building factories in China is difficult and complicated. Therefore, it is important for project leaders to have clear instructions and necessary knowledge. This thesis utilizes scenario deduction and applies the methodology of Dr. Bao-Chih Lee’s eIC model to the China factory investment project of the company. By following its guidance during the operations, the project is predicted to be completed smoothly.
The thesis also investigates the potential of turning the company into one that is equipped with dynamic and ordered organizational management and is aimed to satisfy consumers’ needs by applying Dr. Lee’s eIC operational model to the corporate organization and its product manufacturing processes. This is intended to prepare the company for the coming of the Enterprise Project Management (EPM) era.
The results of the studies showed that the rationale and procedure of the eIC operational model provide a tool for problem solving as well as clear directions for the company expansion project. The results also showed, by means of scenario deduction, that the deployment of the “dynamic project organization” of eIC operations will lead to smooth product manufacturing. It is worth noting that the principles of the eIC operational model agree with the essence of I-Ching (the Book of Changes) — simple, dynamic, and stable.
