Furthermore, the improvement of information technology also influences operational model of organization and transmit to knowledge organization. The knowledge organization means knowledge has became as a basis for enterprise to compete. Therefore, the organizations should carry out knowledge management and let it becomes useful asset and tools that provides organization to compete.
It is becoming an important issue for an organization to set up a system of knowledge management that employees can make good use of and organizations can profit by it.
Because the knowledge management is important to organization, this study provides a case of department of product development as an example. Using IDEF0 and IDEF1X as analysis tools for planning the prototype of knowledge management system of product development. This study presents function model of knowledge management system of product development by using the analysis of IDEF0. Furthermore, this study also develops its data model of knowledge management system of product development by IDEF1X. This study also makes conclusion and gives suggestions of further study of this case. Through studying the case, it can provide organizations and academy a reference of knowledge management of product development.
