Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 空間設計系碩士班 === 91 === Since the demands of the Care-and-nursing Institutions for the Elderly have increased year by year, the Chi-Fei-An-Yean facilities emphasizing the leisure and entertainment services have become the new type for the elderly in the future. Although the nursing institutions equipped with recreational facilities, the satisfaction of the inhabitants is lower than that of home- nursing. It is mostly influenced by the recreation participation, which is deeply concerned with the heath condition. According to the ADL, the architects have suggested the needs of care-and –nursing institutions of the elderly with different physical fitness. However, neither do they point out the actual needs of using facilities, equipments and sections nor comprehensively discuss the effects of internal and external environment within the same area on forming the recreation circumstances for the elderly. The using condition of recreation facilities can be realized by the perspective of acting area. This research samples, making reference to the conditions like the types of management, area difference, and institution development that mentioned in the handbook “The Building of the Care-and-nursing Institutions for the Elderly,” mostly locate in the southern Taiwan that are rarely researched and Tainan area that contains the most sorts of position. The samples include three Chi-Fei-An-Yean facilities that located in the downtown, suburbs and outskirt areas of the county and their register time are close. The main purposes are as follows: (1) the features of both the leisure behaviors of the elderly and its location (2) the territory types of leisure behaviors (3) comprehensive discussion on the factors that affect territory of leisure behaviors (4) the differences of territory of leisure behaviors among the elderly with different physical fitness. (5) comparing the effects of facilities of different position on the areas of leisure behaviors. The personal characteristics of the elderly, facilities, software-using policies and position are considered as the four aspects of this research to set an example of building the internal and external recreational environment of the Chi-Fei-An-Yean facilities in the future. This research applies semi-constructive interview and performs the environmental observations on 61 interviewees. The result reveals that types of Chi-Fei-An-Yean facilities inhabitants’ territory of leisure behaviors are influenced by personal characteristics, equipments, and circumstances. The types can be divided into “dormitory type”, “floor type”, “facility type”, the community type, and the community outer area type. The interviewees with different survival abilities including completely independent, slightly incapable and intermediately incapable are all challenged while using the recreational facilities. In the future, the Chi-Fei-An-Yean facilities should satisfy the demands from the elderly of different degrees of survival abilities. It will ensure the security of the environment, the extension of vertical and horizontal moving directions, and the division of private and semi-private space. It is necessary to provide more religious and recovering facilities for the elderly who are intermediately incapable to stimulate them to participate more aggressively. As for the services, the basic services such as film watching and shopping bus should be provided to the elderly of different physical fitness. The completely independent persons should be offered individual opportunities of recreation, and the slightly and intermediately incapable ones need more religious and health-caring services. The Chi-Fei-An-Yean facilities should pay more attention to the recreational services for the healthy elderly and its location should be in the neighborhood with well transportation and near parks or markets so that the recreational demands of the healthy elderly will be satisfied.
