However, the application of active or semi-active suspension systems to motorcycle is quite few. Hence, the topic of this research is on motorcycle The reasons are because of the simple structure and better performance than active suspension system. In this paper, a proportional throttling valve was developed and applied to build a semi-active suspension system on a 125cc scooter. Moreover, a hydraulic motorcycle suspension test bench was designed to verify the effect of semi-active suspension system. Due to the suspension of motorcycles is a nonliner, time-varing system. A fuzzy logic controller is proposed to control the semi-active suspension system. In addition, this report also shows the design of a manually operated three-step adjustable suspension system. The system can be adjusted according to different road conditions. The main advantages are its competitive price, simple design and better performance. Jyh-Chyang Renn 任志強 2003 學位論文 ; thesis 96 zh-TW
