Our country has become the 144th member of WTO. The domestic traditional manufacturing is facing the strong conflict and worldwide competition. How to make a breakthrough and innovation has become the basic elements for surviving.
Workflow control is an important approach of execution, if the traditional manufacturing desires to apply information technology to raise performance and to grasp delivery, quality, and cost. To a computerized manufacturing, most of relevant business flow controls have been executed by information systems. The IT department also cooperates to the goal of management of organization, such as making work plan, supplying information systems or tools to fulfill the requirement of user department, and
executing information related affairs which assigned by superordinates.
Seeing that of shortening engineering life cycle or other partial improvement, the effect is still limited to the whole organization’s development. This research utilizes case study approach to anatomize the current status of work plan execution about IT department of a certain manufacturing deeply. Use IDEF family methods to construct management model. Use IDEF0 to anatomize current (AS-IS) operation functions, and bring up improvement scheme for future (TO-BE) about function model. Use IDEF3 to proceed the process rationalization review. And finally use IDEF1X to construct data model. Expect to build more effective management model about work plan execution. The research result has been reviewed and deliberated with the manager of IT department of the case company, it can substantially raise the work plan managerial performance, save the manpower and time of summarization sponsor, and assist the manager to strengthen the ability of work execution control and management.
