Other outer industry was very hard to realize the process, and the professional competence models of new product development managers. IC design houses have a lot of kinds, and broad product applications. Therefore, managers should be having different professional competence models to handle a project. After analyzing the content of interview with virtual team management, this research separate new product development managers into Product Manager and Project Leader. Product Manager handles the sales and communication with customer affairs. Project Leader handles research & development an IC product. Project Leader’s professional competence model contains: the ability to access technology information, interior leadership and communication with others, active to problems, the ability to realize relative technology, and the ability to research & development an IC product. Product Manager’s professional competence model contains: realizing the industry which is the IC product apply to, the ability of sensitivity to the market, the ability of technology skills, the ability to translate market observation and customer needs to technology language, the ability to collect information, the ability of conceptualization, friendship with other partners and relative people, the ability of interior leadership, and sales skills.
