| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立雲林科技大學 === 企業管理系碩士班 === 91 === At the first stage, the thesis is to compile foreign and domestic researchers about foreign direct investment motivation literatures, furthermore, using cluster analysis to classify the different type about foreign direct investment motives of Taiwan firms, then, trying to understand that different characteristics in dependence degree on international firms and firm characteristic factors among two different type of foreign direct investment motives should have obvious difference, finally, trying to probe that different type of foreign direct investment motives should use different international strategy.
We released a total of 400 copies of questionnaire and retrieved 71 copies. Through screening process, 53 copies proved to be effective, 13.25% in effective retrieval rate. The results show that there are two different groups of foreign direct investment motivation of Taiwan firms. The thesis give names to them, called expanded strategic group and followed strategic group. The characteristic of expanded strategic group is having strategic autonomy that is less dependence on international firms. On the contrary, the more dependence on international firms is the followed strategic group characteristic, so that the less strategic autonomy is this group characteristic.
