The aim of this research is to get best quality performance by less experiment search for optimum parameters.The experimented machine is a vertical machining center used for circular contour cutting of a mechanical parts.The roundness quality of the parts is analyzed by Taguchi Method,which deals with two groups of machining factors.One group of factors is called control system factors such as acceleration time,load inertion,pre-control parameter and pre-control time constants Another group of factors is called cutting system factors such as feed per cutting edge,cutting depth,and cutting velocity. Using different level values,cross orthogonal arrays of experiment data,analysis of each level average,and analysis of response table to get optimum controlling & machining parameters for a machining center.These parameters not only meet product quality requirements but also increase cutting performance.
