This technology is able to current CAD software and makes design projects faster. During the process of designing, designers are usually using materials like PU foam, clay etc. for speedy and generously model producing to present designing ideal. Some designers are using costly laser scanning equipments to get point data from prototype. These processing are usually take too much time that could not match the needs of market in present time.
This article is focused on how to improve a design process of reverse engineering, by using testing curves, surface modeling curving rate continually method to get multiview digital images and engineer section view to a 3D model design software, Pro/Engineer, and reverse measuring the point data of prototype with 3D measuring arm to create a model structure. After to compare with two model methods by algebraic appearances, we can review the accuracy of model we made, to decrease the cost of reverse engineer point data scanning, and increase the speed of designing and accuracy.
