Description
Summary:碩士 === 大同大學 === 資訊工程研究所 === 91 === Most of today’s existing technical applications are controlled by so-called embedded systems. Additionally, many powerful on-chip features, such as data and instruction caches, programmable bus interfaces and higher clock frequencies, will speed up the system performance significantly and simplify the system design. These hardware fundamentals allow Real-Time operating system (RTOS) to be implemented, which leads to the rapid increase in total system performance and functional complexity. Real-Time operating system is a deterministic system whose operation is predictable. In other words, an impulse to system always leads to a response in predictable, predefined time no matter what state the system is in the time of the impulse. In this thesis, we present a mechanism to modify the interrupt architectures for improving the Performance of an MMD (multi-media device). The study will help decrease the number of interrupts for LAN to improve performance of the whole system. As this model, Microsoft Windows CE .NET is modified and ported to a Handheld PC processor system. The results of the model are presented and the performance of the proposed model has also been evaluated and discussed.
