| Summary: | 碩士 === 臺北市立師範學院 === 科學教育研究所 === 91 === By vehicling through the observation and record of the entire life cycle of Koelreuteria, it is my intention to: (a) build up a sufficient database; (b) merge information into the scientific activities in elementary schools, and (c) create a Web page. Thereafter, teachers can easily download all the information required to blend into their tuitional materials for the reference of scientific/self-improved/local/environmental class.
In order to enhance the statistic reliability and accuracy of this study, three methods were used to collect and analyze numbers: (1) field survey; (2) trials by senior teachers; and (3) feedback from Web site.
In the section of editing materials for elementary science classes, a questionnaire was initiated to 14 teachers who are in charge of these classes in primary level. Before confirm the whole version, I interviewed 6 teachers and 25 students to make sure the design can be suitable to the classes. After trials by all teachers involved, we did the some fine tune to finalize this study version.
In the section of applying database, three parts are proceeding:
(1) Field Survey -
Editor initiated research briefing to 7 participant teachers in Taipei Mandarin Experimental Primary School, and to demonstrate the way of field survey. Participant teachers then filled in surveying sheets to ensure the need of building up the database.
(2) Trials by senior teachers —
After trial by 10 senior scientific teachers, the feedback was able to confirm the necessity and assistance of this database to the relevant classes.
(3) Feedback from Web site —
E-mails from 55 teachers and 6 individual viewers in Web site were collected to reassure the usefulness of this database. However, some modifications are required to make the database even better.
In short, this study is initiated from observing and recording the life cycle of Koelreuteria Henryi Dummer. Following up by editing the tuitional materials for the reference of relevant teachers. Then construct the database in the online Web site so teachers everywhere can download for their applications.
