Summary: | 碩士 === 淡江大學 === 建築學系 === 91 === Buildings composed with many single living units reflect the congested phenomenon of our city. The building coverage confines the volume of street blocks makes the urban skylines monotonously. Due to the over-developments of real estate in Taiwan, Taiwanese government tried to promulgate the law of the floor space ratio to make better urban skylines of Taiwan. However, some developers attempt to get more building volumes before the government promulgated the new law. As a result, a lot of poor-designed buildings were built at that moment, which creates serious urban problems for our cities. Today, the market of real estate in Taiwan is depression, and many buildings are vacancy. Taiwan is a small country living with many people; sustainable architecture and city should be the directions for our future developments, and the life cycle of buildings should be expanded since our limited natural resources.
Lots of predictions for the future tell us that our city will be developed toward to the sky Such assumption is based on the standing point that we have limited land can be developed, and the building height can be developed boundlessly. If building constructions can catch up the developments of industry technology, then we may build the buildings not only on the surface of the earth but also on the other planets. However, we cannot just sit and expect the future, but not do anything for the present. We should control the waste of natural resources, and improve our environment. Thus, there are three important subjects for this research:
Part1. According to the modular structure, designing a renovation mode and this mode defines different percentage of renovation.
Part2. Creating different students activity programs into the “college-city” community near Tamkang University, which is directed by the renovation mode in part1?
Part3. Renovating the buildings by mechanical equipments.
By means of these three subjects mentioned, this research anticipates to find the way to improve the over-developed and congested urban phenomenon in Taiwan.
