Description
Summary:碩士 === 淡江大學 === 建築學系 === 91 === This thesis tries to discuss the formation and transformation of Architecture discourse of Chinese Architect, the magazine of Chinese Architect Association, from 1975 to 1999. The texts of this periodical were analyzed and classified to probe into the meaning of its change from its social context on the basis of the statistics found. The conclusion is as follows: 1.Since the system of architecture in Taiwan was transplanted from the west, the definition of “Architecture” in this periodical, which represents the Taiwan Architect group, has flowed with the mainstream western Architecture discourse. The theory adopted was to adjust to the local situation, yet the definition of “Architecture” in fact was not appropriate to explain the local situation or the local construction process. 2.Influenced by the change of the western Architecture discourse, the operation of power inside the Architect group and the division of labor in construction career, the cognition to architects’ profession in this periodical converted from “the fusion of technology and art” to “design as the most important skill of architects”. 3.Under the limitation of C.A.A.,the Chinese Architect can barely do steadily critical thinking to the manipulated environment of Taiwan.
