碩士 === 淡江大學 === 保險學系保險經營碩士班 === 91 === In recent years, the global reinsurance market conditions have been changing so drastically that the domestic reinsurance operating is facing severe challenges. Therefore, how to operate reinsurance effectively and how to create competitive edge become the urgent tasks for the domestic insurance companies. This dissertation aims to evaluate the reinsurance management of twenty-four Non-life domestic insurance companies in Taiwan by using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) approach. Firstly, I use the methods of DEA to assess the performance of reinsurance in terms of the input and the output. Secondly, I evaluate respectively ceding business and ceded business. This dissertation provides the Non-life insurance companies with the related information about the strategy to operate their companies more effectively so as to achieve better performance and to project an ideal image.
