Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 創新設計研究所 === 91 === This thesis applies Christopher Alexander’s concept of pattern language to develop a pattern language of pleasure with products.
How users can obtain some pleasure with products is one of the most important issues in industrial design. However, most related research work is based on quantitative Kansei Engineering. In contrast, few qualitative ones can be found. In fact, the concept of good quality of design in pattern language is very suitable for developing the design method of pleasure with products.
This study summarizes 30 patterns from a number of contexts of product usages. Three products are designed by using some of these patterns, and then evaluated by 9 experts in terms of the processes and results.
The conclusions involve:(1) the actins that associate products and events can invoke the users to obtain the pleasure with the products, (2) this pattern language is useful for concept development at earlier design stages, (3) the interpretation and application of this pattern language is still depend on the designers’ experiences.
