So the trend of transforming toy industry''s traditional OEM into creative design becomes inevitable. The emphasis of designing and
developing toys should be put on children, but general industrial designer focus on re-designing toys. They possess limited understanding of children, so their contribution in educating and cultivating children''s mental and physical development will also be limited. So it is necessary for the toy industry to have the assistance of the children''s mental-and-physical-developing professionals. This research mainly discuss the value of children knowledge professional''s participation in designing and developing toys and the cooperating mode between children knowledge professionals and industrial designer of toys.
The general users of toys are the normal children. The chief members of children knowledge professional in this research are kindergarten teachers. This research will analyze the mission of industrial designers and the participation of kindergarten teachers in designing and developing toys through the way of studying the documents and interviewing the professionals. And the research ends with the practical test of designing a hand-and-eye coordination toy, a kind of sensory integration toys. The researching goal of this essay is discussing the following issues:
(1) To discuss the mission of children developing professionals'' participation in designing and developing the children''s mental-and-physical-developing toys.
(2) To discuss the industrial designer''s mission of designing and developing toys.
(3) To discuss the cooperating mode between industrial designers and children developing professionals.
