First, the theoretical structure based on the literature review which affected job satisfaction level were divided into eight dimensions: payment promotion, support of administration, interpersonal relationships, organization culture, student performance, in-service education, professional ability and self accomplishment. According to the research goal, a questionnaire survey on “the job satisfaction for the teachers on teaching second specialty subject at comprehensive high schools in Taipei city” was made. The questionnaires were sent to 18 comprehensive high schools for teachers who were teaching second specialty subject. The retrieval rate was 81.97%. Conclusions gained from expert interview and statistical analysis of the gathered data , were as follows: A. For comprehensive high schools 1. The situation in the excess of professional subjects teachers, the second specialty teachers was accepted inside the schools. 2. 80% schools persisted in employing new teachers of major subject teachers. 3. 80% schools were satisfied with teaching effectiveness of teachers teaching second specialty subject. B. For teaching secnod specialty subject teachers 1. The job satisfaction of the teaching second specialty subject teachers achieved mezzo satisfaction. 2. The order of job satisfaction, according to priority, is “professional ability”, “interpersonal relationships”, “ self accomplishment”, “ student represent”, “ in-service education”, “ support of administration”, “ organization culture” and “ payment promotion”. 3. There were no signification differences on job satisfaction in following attributes: sex, age, education degree, second specialty subject, school property, school type, the number of classes, conduct years, the rate of teaching second specialty subject lessons.
