In addition, the microstepping driving technology is not only to keep its advantages, but also to solve the disadvantages of stepping motors, such as low-speed oscillation and lower resolution. This research mainly consists of two parts. The first part uses DSP (TMS320F243) as the core to complete the microstepping control technology for the 2-phase stepping motor, and compares the differences between the microstepping driving and full-stepping driving by using the point-to-point motion track. The second part is applying the microstepping technology to the table-type CNC milling machines with monitoring the numerical value that came from the encoder which driven by the stepping motor, then compares with the preset system value. However, the results of this experiment prove the microstepping driving method for the stepping motor will meet the requirement of the accuracy of the material processing within a tolerance of less than 0.02mm.
