碩士 === 國立臺北科技大學 === 有機高分子研究所 === 91 === When preparing formulation for glue and adhesive in nowadays industry, most companies use polyvinyl acetate or polyvinyl alcohol as a main material ,and water as solvent. This thesis has tried other solvents to replace water and creat new formulation.Because the main chain of polyvinyl alcohol contains hydroxy group(~OH),it can dissolve in alcohol solvent,which contains hydroxy group(~OH).Therefore,this thesis chooses various hydroxyl-containing solvents to study new formulation for glues based on polyvinyl alcohol. This thesis has provied that polyvinyl alcohol can dissolve in 70% methanol solution,70%alcohol solution ,70%propylene glycol solution or 70% glycerin solution.Methanol glue,alcohol glue,propylene glycol glue or glycerin glue has been prepared respectively.The viscosity,PH value ,drying time, peel off test,and microorganism test have been examined for glues of new formulations.I.R.spectrum of glues has also been taken to function group's difference in these glues of various formulations.
