Experimental results have been analyzed by the polarized optical properties based on the measurements of cross and parallel transmittance at the wavelength of 440 nm, 550 nm and 610 nm respectively. At the first stage, the dominated factors and the percentage contribution are decided from the analysis of L827 orthogonal array and ANOVA (the Analysis Of Variance). Followed the comparison of the “Cross table”, the best process controlled levels are selected out. At the second stage, applying the dominated factors to the analysis of L934 orthogonal array, the optimized process recipe is given. According to the optimized process recipe, the fabricated polarizer is achieved to have the optical properties of Yc (cross transmittance) at 0.0073 % and V (polarized efficiency) at 99.9 %, which have been satisfied the specification for the TFT LCD market.
