Two key elements of process integration were included: synthesis and analysis. As for synthesis, emphasis was on mass integration which leads to synthesis of mass exchange network. While for analysis, a hierarchical decision procedure was studied to provide a simple way of identifying potential pollution problems early in the development stage of a design . Some of the decisions affect the exit streams from the process , and have an adverse environmental impact . Hence if we can make decision , i.e. , find alternatives , that do not lead to pollution problems , we can develop “ cleaner “ processes . Both synthesis and analysis can also be used to decompose existing plant , and then process alternatives that eliminate pollution sources can be identified. The case study of Ethylbenzene plant was investigated to provide a strategy of pollution prevention and process integration. Wen-wei Lo 羅文偉 2003 學位論文 ; thesis 88 zh-TW |
