Survey consisted of scales of motivation to join social service clubs, satisfaction, and influencing factors. The research instrument used 5-point Likert scales. The research samples were 695 university students (including freshmen to seniors). One- way ANOVA, t-test, Person product-moment correlation analysis, and multiple linear regression were conducted to analyze the collected data. The research results are as followed: 1. Motivations which encourage college students to join social service clubs and voluntary activities are ‘Learn-growth and Development’, ‘Helping society’, ‘Achieving Dreams’, and ‘Building Relationships.’ 2. Four reasons to join social clubs and voluntary activities are ‘Processes and Outcomes’, ‘Learn and Development’, ‘Achievement and Challenge’, and ‘Skills and Performance’ of Service Jobs . 3. Factors influencing the wiliness of joining social service clubs are ‘Activity settings’, ‘Feature of Activities’ and ‘External Factors’. Among them, the most influential factor is ‘Activity Settings’; the less influential one is ‘External Factors’, and ‘Feature of Activities’ is in the middle. 4. This research compares twelve variables with three dimensions in order to show the differences. The research illustrates that variables of schools, religions, service units, time, and position show no significant differences; the other variables have significant differences. 5. Generally speaking, there are strong correlation between motivations and satisfactions (.70). Regression analysis of 4 motivation factors, 3 influential factors and satisfactions separately explains that results show strong prediction power. Motivations of ‘Learn-growth’, ‘Helping Society’ and ‘Achieving Dreams’, ‘Features of Activities’ and ‘External Factors’ establish strong prediction power in satisfaction of ‘Process and Outcome’ in social service. Motivations of ‘Learn-growth’ and ‘Helping society’, ‘Features of Activities’ and ‘External Factors’ show significant prediction power in satisfaction of ‘Learn and Development’ of service jobs. Motivations of ‘Learn-growth’, ‘Helping Society’ and ‘Achieving Dreams’ and ‘Special Influential Factors’ in activity establish significant prediction power in satisfaction of ‘Achievement and Challenge’. Motivations of ‘Learn-growth’, ‘Helping Society’ and ‘Achieving Dreams’, and ‘Features of Activities’ show significant prediction power in satisfaction of ‘Skills and Performance’. none 詹昭能 2003 學位論文 ; thesis 69 zh-TW |

This research aims to find out factors influencing motivations and satisfactions of college students who join social service clubs and voluntary activities in Taipei area.
The research results are as followed:
1. Motivations which encourage college students to join social service clubs and voluntary activities are ‘Learn-growth and Development’, ‘Helping society’, ‘Achieving Dreams’, and ‘Building Relationships.’
