Description
Summary:碩士 === 東吳大學 === 企業管理學系 === 91 === As information technology advanced, those companies who couldn’t afford to implement traditional EDI now have another EDI solution, Internet EDI. Companies who introduce Internet EDI needn’t to pay a lot and aren’t limited to a specific partner. However, most of the researches just mentioned about the profits and effects of VAN EDI (Electronic Data Interchange through Value-Added Network, as Traditional EDI), Internet EDI-focused researches are still not well founded in both academic and practical communities. It’s still an interesting question whether the improvement on technology have changed the problems on implementations of traditional EDI. In those existent literatures addressed traditional EDI, power, trust, and vision are effective factors while one organization is trying to push its partner to introduce traditional EDI, this paper tested these factors in Internet EDI situation. We found that Internet EDI and traditional EDI differ from each other, power, trust, and vision are not so effective as they were in traditional EDI. We also found: 1. Coercionary power is an effective factor while the passive organization don’t agree the cost and benefit of Internet EDI. 2. The passive organization will consider much while they assume that Internet EDI can reach one-to-many connection in public network. 3. Because of Internet EDI is inexpensive, passive organization could willing to invest in Internet EDI even if they aren’t sure its cost and benefit. 4. Internet EDI can’t reach one-to-many connection even if it exchanges data through a public network.
