| Summary: | 碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 青少年兒童福利研究所 === 91 === The purposes of this study were to explore the effects of Reality Therapy Group on the adolescent drug abusers’ control concept, self-concept in drug abstention, their attitude and conduct during the period of drug abstention and treatment.
The subjects of this study consisted of a selection of twenty adolescent prisoners who were detente in the Taichung Drug Abstention and Treatment Center who due to using illegal drugs. The subjects were divided into two groups as their sequence of treatment. The pretest-posttest-follow-up test equivalent-group design was adopted in the study. The experiment group received sixteen sessions of the Reality Therapy Group treatment in two months, and the control group receive no treatment.
The study used “Control Concept Questionnaire”, “Self-concept of Drug Abstention Questionnaire”, and “Drug Abstainer Evaluated Questionnaire” to conduct pretest, posttest, and follow-up measures. The data was analyzed by used the analysis of covariance.
In the results of this study, the Reality Therapy Group Treatment had significant immediate effect on enhancing the adolescent drug abusers’ self-evaluation, take action, abstention learning, regular living, and course involving. And it did enhance the subjects’ will to assume on the follow-up effects. According to the findings, some suggestions of application for drug-abstaining work and further study are presented.
