Thus, “speed” and “agility” are the keys to run a business. Since companies must have enough capability to meet the challenge of tremendous environments, “knowledge” becomes to predominate the competitive advantage of the 21-century enterprise. In fact, executives are now facing the fact that how they can concretize and utilize such an intangible asset. Knowledge Management System (KMS) helps companies effectively manage knowledge. Through KMS, companies can create knowledge and store within organization. Employees then are able to share and create knowledge through various system platforms.
Through exploratory research, this study then suggest an “integrated knowledge management system infrastructure ” suitable for software companies. Emphasizing the knowledge management procedure, we divides the system into six service components: portal, application, transmission, sharing, knowledge handling, and storage. With well execution, each component can fully support the functioning of knowledge management procedure.
