碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 觀光事業研究所 === 91 === The study aims to examine the turnover of the voluntary interpreters in the Tai-wanese national parks. The statistics show that the turnover of the interpreters has been very high. Telephone interviews and self-completion questionnaire survey were adopted in the present study. The voluntary interpreters of Yangmingshan National Park, Kin-men national Park, Taroko national Park and Kenting National Park who had left their job were selected for the survey. Content analysis was used to analyze the collected data. A total of 127 questionnaires were collected. The findings suggest that job satisfaction and turnover were not necessarily correlated. The average scores that the respondents gave for the job satisfaction, both to the working environments and the nature of the work, were over 80, which suggested a relatively high level of satisfaction. Also, the findings reveal that other factors such as family, time, and traffic, rather than job satis-faction, were specified by the respondents as the main reason for the cease of the vol-untary works.
