碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 運動教練研究所 === 91 === In combat sport, helmet is the important equipment to prevent the athletes from head injury. However the discomfort resulting from wearing it influences players' ability to give full play to their skills and the effectiveness of the protective equipment. Therefore, the basic objective of this study is to investigate the factors of importance and levels of satisfaction of Taekwando players regarding the helmet and offer the manufactures some references to help them to design and improve the helmet. A convenience sampling method is used and a questionnaire is filled out concerning the factors of importance and satisfaction levels concerning the effectiveness and functionality of helmet. A total of 364 questionnaires were collected and 342 of them were valid. The results reveal that Taekwando players regard "lightness", "ventilation", "protectiveness", and "comfort" as the important aspects of protective helmet. The durability of the strap, sense of restriction, the ventilation of the material, odors and itchiness during use, and heat dissipation were felt to be the least satisfactory. The least satisfactory construct of the helmet is the "the influence and sense of discomfort associated with use". The study also discovered that differences in sex, age, level of education, employment history, training seniority, training hours per week, injury status, method in which the helmet was acquired, and the helmet brand produce a corresponding difference in the factor of importance of the helmet. Differences in sex, age, level of education, employment history, training seniority, training hours per week, injury status, method in which the helmet was acquired, and the protective head-gear brand influence the degree of satisfaction. Accordingly, it is recommended that in order to meet user requirements.
