The Study of the Values of the Recreational Sports on Private Collegiate Students in Northern Region of Taiwan

碩士 === 中國文化大學 === 運動教練研究所 === 91 === The purpose of this study was to investigate that the values of recreational sports in collegiate students and to understand the differences of the values among varied demographical variables of the students. The samples were voluntary collegiate male and female students at three different private universities, varied colleges and grades whom were selected via convenient sampling method from northern region of island. The 950 questionnaires were issued to the volunteers and all of the questionnaires had been collected completely and there were 929 questionnaires effective after deleting 21 incomplete questionnaires the effective rate 98% had been reached. The results indicated that the values of recreational sports in collegiate students were “self-understanding via recreational sports”, “health and fitness”, “experience of a sense of beauty” and “satisfaction of living”. There were significant differences between male and female students on the values of recreational sports in “self-understanding via recreational sports” (t = 2.75, p = .006), “experience of a sense of beauty” (t = 2.40, p = .017) and “satisfaction of living” (t = 3.03, p = .003) and male students had higher scores than female students. There were significant differences among different level of health status of students on the values of recreational sports in “self-understanding via recreational sports” (F =8.57, p = .000), “health and fitness” (F = 6.87, p = .000), “experience of a sense of beauty” (F = 8.24, p = .000) and “satisfaction of living” (F = 8.68, p = .000). In “self-understanding via recreational sports” the expense of recreational sport from NT$2,001 to NT$3,000 level of students had higher score than the expense of recreational sport under NT$500 level of students (F = 2.67, p = .021).
