There were significant differences between male and female students on the values of recreational sports in “self-understanding via recreational sports” (t = 2.75, p = .006), “experience of a sense of beauty” (t = 2.40, p = .017) and “satisfaction of living” (t = 3.03, p = .003) and male students had higher scores than female students. There were significant differences among different level of health status of students on the values of recreational sports in “self-understanding via recreational sports” (F =8.57, p = .000), “health and fitness” (F = 6.87, p = .000), “experience of a sense of beauty” (F = 8.24, p = .000) and “satisfaction of living” (F = 8.68, p = .000). In “self-understanding via recreational sports” the expense of recreational sport from NT$2,001 to NT$3,000 level of students had higher score than the expense of recreational sport under NT$500 level of students (F = 2.67, p = .021).
