In this thesis, the supervisory control system of the heterogeneous factory device is integrated with the open, visible and unitary characteristics of the BACnet network communication protocol. Furthermore, it can establish the remote monitoring system by the way of connecting Ethernet inside the factory. We use the hierarchical concept discriminating the system layer, the local layer and the control layer to plan the integrated factory monitoring system. Each layer executes the monitoring function and mode itself, and is connected with one another by the control networks of BACnet. Then, We integrate the distributed monitoring systems of the local layer and the control layer into the main system by BACnet/IP in the system layer. Besides, we use the object-oriented module to design the monitoring programming and use Visual Basic to create a friendly interface between human beings and machines and function modules in the system layer and the local layer. The way of data communication relies on BACnet standard objects and properties, which describe the device and the monitoring point, and on the use of message transaction and encoding methods of the BACnet service instruction. Later, the database server accesses the supervisory and testing data. Finally, we integrated the BACnet system by employing the temperature testing monitoring system, the pressure testing monitoring system and the automation measure monitoring system. Also, we evaluate the feasibility of accomplishing the integrated factory monitoring system with BACnet. The result can provide a reference to the industrial automation.
