Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 機械工程學研究所 === 91 === The mechanical properties of small spicemen are not able to reflect these of original accurately because of size effect. Similarly, the properities of original spicemen are different from small ones. Nowaday mechanical structures are becoming lighter, thiner, and smaller. When analysing small mechanisms, and evaluting their structural completeness and life, the properties we got from standard spicemen may be different from actual ones. It is necessary to develop small spicemen techonlogy. On the other hand, relative mechanical properties of structral completeness and residual life of heavy industral huge mechanism can’t be obtained from theoretical calculation . They are often got from fractural or non-fractural examinations and fractural examinations can offer more detial than non-fractural. The drawbacks of fractural tests are the need of getting samples from the structure, and the samples must be very small to avoid effecting the completeness of the structure. The samples are usually not satisfing to the requirement of general mechanical examination. So it is also essential to develop small spicemen techonlogy. The approaches of testing small spicemen can be categorized into two aspects. One is the small scale of traditional test such as smaller scale spicemen and testing mechine. Another is non-traditional methods such as Ball Indentation and Bulging Test which can be used to get tension and fractural porperties. Ball Indentation is potential, simple, and suitable for in-situ measurement of non-fractural examination. There are systematic and deep research in this paper.
