Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 機械工程學研究所 === 91 === Postural hypotension, usually caused by spinal cord injury (SCI), is a common clinical problem encountered in the rehabilitation of patients. Those patients may feel mild dizziness or severe syncope when they are being risen up from supine or sitting position. This research investigates the physiological phenomena by using the bedside monitor, mainly in heart rate and blood pressure, by changing body postures and pumping processes of circulator. It was found that by pumping the blood from lower limbs can improve the occurrence of postural hypotension. Four automatically controlled pumping processes are developed to the tests. Those tests are applied on SCI patients and healthy volunteers. The four processes are compared and their performances are analyzed and ranked.
