碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 管理學院知識管理組 === 91 === This thesis is to discuss the governances that are taken to protect the confidential information in hi-tech industry. To study the issue, I research from the legal side and the managerial side, and discuss whether the running of ethic codes and business culture will also enhance the protection of the business information, especially the confidential information. This research is done by quantifiable questionnaires, and the result shows that most of Taiwan’s hi-tech companies agree that it is necessary for them to do something to keep their operational information secret, and they also think that ethic codes and business culture are helpful in the issue. Finally, comparing the situation with some foreign hi-tech companies and the literatures, this thesis get that it is still a long way for Taiwan hi-tech company to do it, and suggestions are proposed to shed lights on further studies in this topic.
