They neglected the fact that the socio-cultural conditions of each country could influenced the status of female workers in each specific context. This study analyzes the gendered strategies of labor control peculiar to Taiwanese-owned enterprises(Taishang) and the China''s socio-cultural conditions simultaneously exert effects on the status of female workers in both labor and domestic domains. The status of female workers in Taiwanese-owned enterprises manifests both the general principle of the capitalist system which adopts a gendered strategy of labor control and the peculiarity resulting from the interaction of the above-mentioned general principle and China’s socio-cultural institutions.
