Summary:碩士 === 臺東師範學院 === 兒童文學研究所 === 91 === The research method used in this study is action research. The purpose of the project is to study the effect of role-playing on the creativity of writing fairy tale story. Using a proper and effective pedagogy to conduct the children’s creativity of writing fairy tale story is what educators and teachers concern about. According to some other related research, the results indicated that role-playing inspired children’s capability of cognition, imagination, language expression and creation. Thus, the investigator used dramatic play as the experimental measure to see if it is the effective way to strengthen the student’s creation on writing story. The objects in this study were the fifth graders from an elementary school located in Hwa-Lian County. The researcher observed and recorded the process as the students involved in dramatic play and then wrote fairy tale story. In addition, the children’s development of cognition and affection, and the interaction between the researcher and the objects was also investigated. It was found that role-playing benefits on the children’s imagination and fairy tale story writing. The fairy tale story written by the students is more constructed and more various in content.
