| Summary: | 碩士 === 臺東師範學院 === 教育研究所 === 91 === The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the current status of every elementary school’s graduation trip in Taoyuan County. Through collecting the documents and datum, the readers could realize the department responsible, arrangement, execution, activity types for the graduation trips from the study. The six school samples were taken by means of purposive sampling. Through the interviews with the cases, the study wanted to understand the policy-making and execution of the graduation trips.
Four major conclusions of this study were as follows.
1. By tradition, every elementary school would arrange the graduation trip for the sixth grade students who are going to graduate from the elementary schools. The graduation trip had been a routine activity for the elementary schools.
2. The elementary schools that parents committee arranged the graduation trip belonged to the urban schools or suburb schools. Because the parents committee of the urban and suburb schools had more abundant resources and better finance than those at the highland schools, the parents committees at the highland schools seldom arranged the graduation trip for the students.
3. The department responsible didn’t consider from the educational point, but from helping to create the sweet memory for the students to arrange the graduation trip. The schedules of the graduation trip were often arranged to go to the recreation grounds in order to please the students.
4. The graduation trips were only routine activities to the principals of the elementary schools. The principals concerned most about the safety of the students and the examinations and assessments from the high-up educational administrations, not including the graduation trips.
According to those conclusions, the study put forth some concrete suggestions to educational institutions, school administrations, teachers and further studies as well.
