Summary: | 碩士 === 國立台北師範學院 === 教育心理與輔導學系碩士班 === 91 === This study attempts to understand and interpret the inner world of the children who leave home and enter the new environment of orphanage. This study has a pilot study in May, 2002 which tried to find the direction of this one and also selected two participants who entered the new environment of orphanage. The researcher did 6 initial interviews in November, 2003 ,and after the Paper oral examination, the researcher individually did 7 and 8 formal interviews with these two participants in March, 2003.The proceeding of this study adopts depth interview with participants , and adopts informal interviews with the interrelated people, like family teacher, the administrative staff and participants’ friends who have interaction with participants. All data includes formal and informal interviews, study space, participants’ background, participants’ notes, participants’ painting, the researcher’s considered notes, participants’ notes, and the discussion record of the paper. The study is analyzed by the concept of Hermeneutics to link up deconstruction, capturing, bracketing, construction of interpretive interactionism on data analyze and interpretation.
The major discovery and understanding of the study are as follow:
The inner world of Xiao-Hua:1. The demand and wish of Xiao-Hua are: (1) Looking for a familiar shadow to build up a sense of security to face the environment. (2) Demanding warmth and to be forgiven. (3) Demanding a export to leak out the feeling of missing home. (4) Wish her mother’s sickness could be cured soon and return to the joyful life with her family as the past. (5) Seeking the identification from friends and group. (6) Demanding tolerant and trust environment to grow up. (7) Demanding time and space belonged to her only. (8) Demanding a sense of security to attach to. (9) Demanding and yearning for having father. 2. The pressures from new environment Xiao-Hua needs to face are: (1) Losing the center of rely--the pressure to face the strange environment by herself. (2) Having trouble to communicate with the teachers in orphanage--the pressure of not being understood. (3) The difficulty of schoolwork--the pressure from demanding herself and expection from her mother.
The inner world of Xiao-Hui:1. The demand and wish of Xiao-Hui are:(1) Needing free time and space to grow up. (2) Demanding to be taken care of and understood. (3) Wishing warmth and love from her mother. (4) Wishing to live with her father and have a dependable home. (5) Needing a sense of security to attach to. 2. The pressures from new environment Xiao-Hui needs to face are: (1) Deviating from the family raise her--the pressure of losing a sense of security. (2) Needing to do housework--the pressure of changing habits. (3) The difficulty of schoolwork--the pressure of being unhappy in class.
Finally, through the understanding of the children in the orphanage, the researcher provides her perspective and advice to orphanage, society, teachers, parents and counselor to look forward practical and concrete action. Besides, she also offer her study as the resources and references when orphanage, society and teachers helping the children whoever stay in orphanage
