Simutaneously the mindset of entrepreneurship was considered to be a key factor on business development. Drawing on the entrepreneurship and strategy literature, this paper examines a framework for analyzing strategic entrepreneurship process. Three dimensions are emphasized: opportunity identification, resource exploitation and asset accumulation. The paper argues the entrepreneurship focuses on creation while strategic management focuses on building a competitive advantage. Thus, entrepreneurial and strategic actions are complementary and can achieve the greatest wealth when integrated. Entrepreneurial action is designed to identify and pursue entrepreneurial opportunities. Opportunity identification follows by resource exploitation. This entrepreneurial behavior is path dependent, implying that entrepreneurship is formed by past asset accumulation over time. With the proposal framework in hand, the paper adopts a single case study methodology to analyze the strategic entrepreneurship process in Winbond Electronics Corp. This paper concludes by discussing implications for theory, practice and future research.
