Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立清華大學 === 科技管理研究所 === 91 === It is widely understood that project team has a great impact on the ultimate success of an Information System Development (ISD) project. During ISD, the interaction among team members is frequent and necessary. And such interaction easily results in conflicts. Furthermore, the properties of an ISD project team, including interdependence, disagreement, and interference, likely lead to interpersonal conflict among team members. Requirement analysis is an inevitable stage needed to be conducted by users and IS staff during ISD, and the results of requirement analysis have great impact on the later progress of ISD. We used data collected from Taiwan’s projects to know the extent of interpersonal conflicts, and examined the impact of interpersonal conflicts and requirement uncertainty on project performance. Our results showed that while the negative impact of interpersonal conflicts on project performance were not found in our data, interpersonal conflicts has a significant positive impact on requirement uncertainty. And the results showed that requirement uncertainty has a significant negative impact on project performance.
