In recent years, as the uncertainness of the demand in market increased, it’s more difficult to upgrade the abilities of competition & survival in administration, so most companies submit production to subcontractors, and focus themselves on the marketing & research. The Information Technology Industry turns to specialization from vertical integration makes Taiwan becomes the major production of electrical products. This article focused on how the major EMS supplier can raise the quality & improvement to be a professional supplier with full support of sub-suppliers. The EMS supplier should audit & help the sub-suppliers if any defects occurred in quality, either to phase in during C0~C1 stage according to the characters of the product. The sub-suppliers & EMS should work together in research & share effective information with each other, a professional supplier is not just only a co-worker, but also a strategy partner for long term relationship. An EMS supplier supported by professional suppliers will be qualified to produce high quality product for customers. As the break of the bubble in internet for recent years, the demand reduced and caused EMS’s revenue decreased, yet it brought the focus of the whole world on ODM/OEM/EMS suppliers in Taiwan. To be benefit and full of competition, Taiwan’s EMS suppliers should first pay attention to the improvement of quality & service, 2nd is strategy of cost down &offer entire solution of customer.
