Then IC design house could strengthen the competitive advantage of a firm, if the outsourcing is done through the strategic application, the suitable partner, and integrative the source and efficiency of subcontractor, to let to speedy time to market and time to volume. This research is base on the literature study, the interview of IC design house, and to collect related data from the IC industry. This study explores : (1) the IC design house’s core competency, (2) the way to use outsourcing to integrate resource, and (3) the outsourcing model the firm used for future development. The three major perspectives of outsourcing strategy are : to select the subcontractor from market institution, to setup supplier relationship for strategic position, and to evaluate performance of supply chain. The IC design house makes the decision of outsourcing base on the integrated, mutual evolution of the critical factors of the three major perspectives. This research is applicable to the outsourcing strategy not only for the fabrication product but also for the manpower requirements for design and intellectual property in the IC design house.
