碩士 === 國立清華大學 === 工業工程與工程管理學系 === 91 === The Major duty of R&D Department is creating new product. But the requirement of engineering change(EC) activities are always been ignored. In general, the importance of new product creating is more than EC & the EC always appear negative style for the company. The EC is able to cause documents released & production stop. The conception that EC is negative effect for R&D performance is incorrect. If we ponder over the EC deeply, we are able to find the relations & effective utilities of EC for R&D activities & performance. So we have to discuss the basic definition & root cause of EC. This research is an attribute methodology to evaluate the R&D performance with EC by a real case study. It is to discuss the interactions of R&D department & other departments(including customers & venders) with EC & give the improvement suggest by the critical factors from EC.
