碩士 === 臺中師範學院 === 數學教育學系 === 91 === The purpose of this research is to explore the relationship of mathematical problem solving, attention and memory for pupils in elementary school. This research is expected to offer the concrete conclusions and suggestions as important references for the students, teachers and administrative departments in elementary school. The test subjects are students from the public elementary schools in Taichung, Changhua and Nantou counties by using a stratified random sampling method. Based on the analysis： 1. The children’s ability of mathematical problem solving is significantly correlated to their abilities of attention and memory. 2. The children’s ability of mathematical problem solving is significantly regressed on their abilities of attention and memory. 3. The hypothetical model of children’s mathematical problem solving is well fitted by the empirical data. keywords：mathematical promblem solving , attention , memory
