The researcher analyzed the relationship between trapezoid cognitive components and VHL development levels. The sample, totally 721 valid samples, was 5 and 6 graders in elementary schools. According to the data analysis, the results were as follows: 1. The sample number in VHL levels have significant difference between different graders. There are more students of sixth-graders in high levels. 2. There is 6.7% sample of students without accordance to VHL levels. 3. As for the performance of rotation recognition, R1 is the best, and R4 is the worst. As for the performance of height and underside changing, H2P2 and H2P3 are the best. 4. As for the performance of rotation recognition for high graders, the greatest influence is the different trapezoid type. On the contrary, the changeover of height and underside has smaller influence. 5. For the students fitting VHL levels, the rotation and change of height and underside could influence recognition of graph. Of all students, the students type D performances the best and the students type A performance the worst. 6. For the students violating VHL levels, the students type F have the least incorrect performance. However, the students type E make the most incorrect performance.
