Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東師範學院 === 視覺藝術教育研究所 === 91 === ABSTRACT An Action Research on the Local Art Curriculum and Instruction in Elementary School -An Example from Madou in Tainan County The study attempts to proceed with local art curriculum and instruction at an elementary school in order to find out how to apply and represent the ideas of the elementary local art instruction in teaching ,so that it can be the reference of practical teaching in the future. There are three main purposes of this study :1. To analyze and describe the main theories of local art education.2.To discuss the useful way of the local art curriculum and instruction at an elementary school. 3. To make suggestion from the application of local art education ideas to elementary art instruction. First , explain the main theories of the local art education and then classify , analyse and discuss them to see how those theories put in to practice in practical teaching design. Finally try to proceed this study with the action research way, design the teaching procedure based on the local art education ideas, and then understand how it really works. After carrying out the formal teaching of the instruction , data analysis and discussion as well as examining of teaching method will be discussed from the acquiring of local art education concepts of students, the learning feedback from students , and the achievement assessment of students a unit by a unit. Finally, bring up what follows conclusion: 1. To confer the main theories of the local art education: (1)The meaning of the local art education. (2) The importance of the local art education. (3)The basic position of the local art education. 2. To design the local art education curriculum:(1)The character of the local art curriculum. (2)The design main points of the local art education curriculum. (3)The actual examples of the local art curriculum. 3. To criticize the results of the local art curriculum and instruction. (1)Students’ learning results that reach to expected targets. (2) Each unit’s teaching materials and design conform to the local art curriculum character. Use various teaching methods on teaching activities. Not only the way of assessment should be variety, but also the doers. 4. The local art instruction mode of elementary school: (1)Be careful thinking and synthesize each content to form teaching subjects.(2)To set teaching targets.(3)The teacher should think over and try to proceed with various teaching activities. (4)Various creation.(5)The exhibition of works.(6)Various evaluation. On the basis of above-mentioned research results bring up below suggestion. 1.The aspect of curriculum design and practice: (1)The curriculum design subjects and targets: First,deliberate with students’ interest and look for suitable teaching subjects for strengthen their learning motive. To choose various local art instruction materials .To give students’ different experience and feeling. Second,according to students’ grades choosing suitable local art curriculum. Plan vertical and lateral systematical curriculum. Third,teachers should have the abilities of analyze,choose and design teaching material. Fourth,try to combine display art with visual art into teaching activities. (2)The instruction resources: First,supply enough teaching equipments to teaching and learning. Second,teachers should have the abilities of using mass medium on teaching. Third,promote the function of teaching counsel group and Arts and Humanities Area teaching team. Fourth,provide further education and research ways for rising teachers’ self grow up and professional knowledge. Share research results with others. Fifth,establish each local culture center to keep local culture resources and popularize local art education. (3)The instruction activities: First,promote teachers’ abilities of interconnected curriculum and try to constitute multilateral learning areas to rich instruction activities. Second,use multilateral instruction on teaching method. Third,cooperate after school teaching activities with community and school traditional activities. (4)The instruction evaluation: First,multilateral evaluation. Second,multilateral personnel. Third,suitable evaluation. 2. The researches direction in the future: (1)Keep on researching related subjects of local art curriculum and instruction. Each area’s government should plan local culture teaching materials and encourage schools cooperate with communities to continue and innovate culture. (2)The quantity of study subjects could be increased and amount of grades could be widened as well. Expect the teaching of the local art curriculum and instruction in Elementary School could be coherent and systematic. (3)Use subject matters with local culture character on curriculum and instruction in Elementary School. Keep on developing multilateral teaching methods. (4)Encourage present job teachers devote themselves to action researches of related areas.
