And see how Postmodern Art Education Ideas are represented and practiced in teaching ,so that it can be the reference of practical teaching in the future. There are three main purposes of this study :1. To focus on the main theories of Postmodern Art Education. 2.To discuss the teaching design that Postmodern Art Education applies to Elementary Art Instruction. 3. To make suggestion from the application of Postmodern Art Education Ideas to Elementary Art Instruction. First of all ,explain the main theories of the Postmodern Art Education and then classify , analyse , and discuss them to see how those theories put in to practice in practical teaching design. Finally try to proceed this study with action research , design the teaching proceedure based on the Postmodern Art Education Ideas, and then understand how it really works. After carrying out the formal teaching of instruction ,data analysis and discussion as well as examining of teaching method will be discussed from three aspects :the acquiring of Postmodern Art Education concepts of students, the learning feedback from students , and the achievement assassiment of students. The discussion of Postmodern Art Education Ideas:1. the Characteristics of Postmodern Art:multiple meaning, eclectic of works, reduplication because of science ,pluralistic materials of works. 2. The foundation of Postmodern Art Education:It is against the DBAE(Discipline-Based Art Education)scientific way of teaching. It emphasizes that the target of Postmodern Art Education will be achieved throught the multi-cultural ways of learning ;the deep understanding of social structure. 3. The four Characteristics of Postmodern Art Education curriculum:They are little narrative, power-and-knowledge linking, deconstruction, double-coding. When it comes to curriculum design, it brings focus on the discipline-intergration , multi-cultural approaches to curriculum and postmodern issues, the emphasizing of the interaction of teaching material and concepts ,the advocation of questioning to form the multiple interpretation and the acception of dissension conflict,and the teaching content is visualized and includes the understanding of the trace. The carrying out and discussion of the application of Postmodern Art Education ideas for elementary art instruction:1.the presentation of learning achievement of students ;students can do the self-analization with the concepts of postmodern art education and show the multiple, eclectic, and reduplicative characteristics in their works.2.The review and discussion of teaching, the teaching content and design should include four aspects:little narrative, power-and- knowledge linking, deconstruction, and double-coding. The teaching will adopt all kinds of teaching methodologies and the assassiment will be pluralistic. The teaching scheme of Postmodern Art Education Education. After carrying out the whole project, the teaching scheme can be figured out and explained as follows: 1.forming a teaching topic through strict consideration and various teaching content. 2.Setting up the teaching purposes. 3.Teachers should try to do some various teaching activities. 4.originate art works. 5.presentation 6.pluralistic assassiment. According to the result of the research above , it coucludes as follows:Suggestions of Teaching design:1.Teachers should be able to criticize and judge the postmodern teaching material and design their own teaching content based on the postmodern concept. 2.Efficent and useful teaching equipment is important in teaching places,what's more ,teachers should be able to use it correctly . 3.Teachers should be able to use a computer and intergrate different disciplines. 4.Not only the way of assassiment should be variety, but also the doers. Suggestions of Future research:1.Keep on doing the related topics. 2.The quantity of study subjects could be increased and amountl of grades could be widen as well. 3. Keep on developing pluralistic teaching methods.
